I stumbled upon this article and found myself eagerly thinking "yes... someone has finally taken notice". This may seem strange to some who know that we're home schooling, but really, just because we're doing it this year doesn't mean we'll do it forever. My biggest excitement comes when they say "taking back family time" - which I've always seen as an issue involved in public schooling. It just seems like the family time is all but eliminated especially as the children get further and further up the graded ladder.
This article targets homework - the overloading of homework. Take a look - if it's something that concerns you, then you may well be inspired in how you might help to take a stand and help bring back family time to your life! It's not about eliminating homework - it's about taking the research and seeing that less is more.
