So.... Bob had a birthday.... normally this means Texas sheet cake with Hershey's perfectly chocolate frosting (more like a fudge) which we all love! But this time we had a bunch of Strawberries - which have been delicious and so enjoyable! He decided on Strawberry Shortcake with Sponge Cake (one way he'd not had it until a few weeks earlier).
As usual - or so it seems to be now - schedules made it hard to work with the actual birthday, but that was okay... we just enjoyed the shortcake with his folks a few days later. His actual birthday was spent doing service (something he really enjoys) for his grandmother (even better) and then at the Temple with his folks (per request of the Temple President). He missed out on opening day of fishing, but decided that was probably for the best, since he doesn't like to be around a lot of people when he fishes.
All in all, I think his birthday was good - at least we got to say Happy Birthday and enjoy a yummy dessert - can't go wrong there!
