I'm working at the computer when Jeremy comes over. He asks if he can play on the big computer (meaning the desktop, not the laptop). I tell him I'm having a turn and that he can have one after. He climbs up on the chair next me, which puts him closer to the mouse.
J: "Whoever's over here gets the mouse." (A common way to share with the kids)
Me: "Don't touch that. It might mess something up."
He reaches for the mouse. I get there first.
Me: "That's Mommy's mouse."
J: "No it's not! That's Daddy's new mouse!"
I love the things that children say. You just never know what is going to come out next ;)
